Lourdes Crawford

I started my Jazz studies in August 1985 at Cetys University in Mexicali.  My first teacher was Manuel Torres, of the UABC Paralelo-32 Contemporary Dance Company.  I began to
study Ballet and Tap with Marian Gay Martinez at MGM Dance Academy in 1988.  I continued my studies of Ballet, Tap, and Jazz with Dance Caravan, Stars of Tomorrow, the
Professional Dance Teachers Association, and the UABC.  I continued to study contemporary dance with Paty Aguilar, Carmen Borjorquez, Victoria Camero, and Jean Isaacs the
current director of the San Diego Dance Theater.  I became a Jazz teacher at the UABC in 1990 and a member of the Paralelo-32 Contemporary Dance Company.  I then
continued my studies of Hip-Hop with Lennon Pichelo of New York and two additional years of Ballet with Orlando Lopez of the National Cuban Ballet.  My recent continued
studies include: Steve Sinico & Angela D'Valda Sirico of stage and television fame, Simone De Paolo of Alvin Ailey School of American Dance, Franco De Vita of the Boston
Ballet & American Ballet Theatre, Louis Kavouras of the Eric Hawkins Dance Company, Raymond Lukens of the American Ballet Theatre, Tim Santos of the Radio City Rockettes,
Jessica Rizzo if "Impulse" and Las Vegas'  "Le Reve", Adrian Wiltshire of MTV's TRL and "Stomp the Yard", Jennifer J.V. Goecke of many Broadway musicals including "Cats",
contemporary dancer Alber Cattafi of Las Vegas' "Pimp", Cathy Roe of Cathy Roe Video Productions, and Shelly Masenoir of "Fame the Musical" and Disney's "High School
Musical".

In April 1992 I opened Lulu Vega Acadamia de Danza in Mexicali. I taught classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, and Salsaerobics.  The studio has prospered
significantly over the past 20 years and developed into a state of the art dance studio.  Classes are offered for students ranging in age from 4 to 80 years of age.  I am University
educated in Pedagogy - the art or profession of teaching.  I have also successfully worked with students with Down's Syndrome, Autism, and the Deaf.  I have developed my own
very special teaching technique, with results described as "amazing" by their family and loved ones.

Now a local Coachella Valley resident, I decided to open a new modern and state of the art dance studio in order to provide excellent dance instruction in the east end of the
valley.  We have students from La Quinta, Indio, Coachella, Bermuda Dunes, Palm Desert, and even students that drive in from Cathedral City specifically for my level of quality
instruction.  My husband Paul is a Physical Therapist and he brings helpful knowledge and credentials to the studio.  He has his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, is an APTA
Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, and is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  He has helped collaborate and develop several classes that are
unique to our studio and found nowhere else.  Students in these classes report significant improvements in health fitness, and wellness.  Our studio offers a complete range of
courses applicable to everyone in our community.

My pleasure to meet you,
Lulu                                                                        P.S. Don't Keep Me a Secret!
